Annual Sports Meet 2025-26

The annual sports meet of Besant English Medium School, held on November 12, was conducted with great splendour at the Mangala Stadium in the city. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Mr. Bharat K, the Physical Education Supervisor of Mangalore North Zone, who lit the ceremonial lamp.

In his inaugural address, he said that sports are an integral part of education and are essential for both physical and mental development. He advised the children to participate actively in games and enjoy themselves.

On this occasion, Mr. Manel Annappa Nayak, President of the Women’s National Education Society; Dr. Manel Arjun Nayak, School Administrator; Mrs. Lavina Albert, Headmistress; Mr. Girish, President of the Parent-Teacher Association; Mr. Moksha, Vice-President; and Mr. Jagadish, Physical Education Teacher, were present on the dais.

The chief guest, Mr. Bharat K, was honoured by the school management on this occasion. Mr. Ratnakar Rao B, the Assistant Headmaster, welcomed the gathering, while Mrs. Sowmya, teacher, proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Shikha, teacher, compered the programme, and Mr. Jagadeesh, Physical Education Teacher, coordinated the entire sports meet.
